More Than 1.89 Crore Devotees Take a Holy Bath At Sangam Today As Coldplay Lead Singer Chris Martin Arrives In Prayagraj.

Mahakumbh

As the Mauni Amavasya snan on January 29 draws near, more than 3.29 crore devotees have already taken a holy bath at the Sangam in Prayagraj, with 1.74 crore on Sunday and 1.55 crore on Monday. Due to a lack of lodging, many pilgrims have turned small vans and carts into temporary shelters with rations, blankets, and bedding close to makeshift restrooms. Owing to the large number of pilgrims, Varanasi schools up to class 12 have switched to online instruction till February 5, and the Allahabad High Court will be closed from January 28 to 30. In addition, saffron-clad celebs Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson were seen negotiating the raucous crowd in Prayagraj.

For a more seamless darshan, local devotees are urged by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra to postpone their trip to Ayodhya.

In a statement posted on their X account, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra advised followers from the surrounding regions to think about postponing their trip to Ayodhya by 15 to 20 days.

Prayagraj Sangam

On January 29, 2025, Mauni Amavasya at Kumbh in Prayagraj will have its “Mukhya Snan,” or principal bathing ceremony. On this auspicious day, an estimated 10 crore devotees are expected to take a holy plunge in Prayagraj, with many of them travelling by road and train to Ayodhya.

The number of devotees travelling to Ayodhya has increased significantly during the last three days. The size and population of Ayodhya Dham make it more difficult to guarantee that Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla’s darshan goes smoothly for so many devotees in a single day, which causes difficulty. Some devotees must now walk greater distances as a result of the essential modifications being made to avoid any unfortunate accidents.

To improve the darshan experience for those coming from farther out, we respectfully ask devotees from the surrounding areas to schedule their trip to Ayodhya 15 to 20 days later. Everyone will find the experience more convenient as a result.

Devotees from surrounding areas would find it perfect to schedule their visit throughout February due to the coming of Vasant Panchami and the lovely weather. We respectfully ask that you give this appeal some thought.
