Asif also promised to provide India with a sufficient response in the event that Pakistan was attacked, but he would not divulge the specifics of Pakistan’s response.

Despite efforts by several nations to ease tensions between the two neighbors, Pakistan’s defense minister, Khawaja Asif, stated on Wednesday that the likelihood of a conflict with India was growing over time.

Asif made the comments when he was questioned about the most recent security situation by the media outside the parliament.

As time goes on, the likelihood of conflict is rising rather than falling. “However, numerous nations have been attempting to prevent the situation,” he stated.

Asif also promised to provide India with a sufficient response in the event that Pakistan was attacked, but he would not divulge the specifics of Pakistan’s response.

“If there is a violation by India, we will respond, and the nature of our response will be determined by the Indian action,” he stated.

He emphasized, “There should be no doubt about our response.”

“India will see sense,” he said, adding that there was no proof on the ground because the escalation had not decreased.

He said, “May God help to avert the situation of conflict,” in response to a query.

“I do not want to speculate about the response by Pakistan, but it will be bigger than Indian action,” he said in response to another query.

Asif had warned of an impending Indian military invasion on Monday.

Because of the imminence of the situation, we have increased our forces. Thus, some strategic choices must be made in that circumstance, and those choices have been made,” Asif told Reuters in an interview.

As was to be expected, Pakistan strongly denied any involvement in the Pahalgam terror incident. Islamabad reaffirmed its commitment to combating terrorism and denounced the attack. But in light of growing data and historical precedence, these denials seem more and more flimsy.
