Trump and Putin are currently calling to “end the bloodbath” in Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin is called by Donald Trump.

According to a White House official speaking on condition of anonymity, US President Donald Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, as reported by AFP.

Trump is relying on a new personal plea to Putin to accept a 30-day unconditional ceasefire with Kyiv, as he has repeatedly demanded an end to the “bloodbath” in Ukraine.

Trump wanted to “see this conflict come to an end,” according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt earlier today, adding that the US president had “grown weary and frustrated with both sides.”

Additionally, the White House stated that Trump was “weary and frustrated” with the conflict’s sluggish resolution.

As he tries to find a solution to the three-year-old conflict, the US president is also scheduled to speak with NATO officials and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the day.

Vice President JD Vance, meanwhile, indicated that Trump was growing impatient.
“There’s a bit of an impasse here, and I think the president’s going to say to President Putin, Look, are you serious?” Vance told reporters after meeting Zelensky and Pope Leo XIV in Rome.

“If Russia is not willing to do that, then we’re eventually just going to have to say, This is not our war,” he stated.
