As a new version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Edition. The stylish clamshell folding phone is modeled after the SGH-E700 (Samsung E700), which debuted in 2003 as the company’s first smartphone with an integrated antenna. The blue color panel and matte finish frame of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro A variety of accessories, such as Flipsuit cards and cases, are included with the special edition smartphone. The new Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Edition is anticipated to have specs comparable to the original Galaxy Z Flip 5, which was released globally in July of this year, with the exception of the accessories.
On November 1, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro will only be accessible via Samsung’s official website, Samsung.com, in limited quantities in Australia, Korea, the UK, Germany, and Spain. In France, sales will begin on November 2. The special edition phone’s price has not yet been disclosed.
As previously stated, the SGH-E700, which debuted in 2003 and was the first flip phone from Samsung to include an integrated antenna, served as the model for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro. The Retro version features a distinct UX design that reinterprets 2000s pixel graphics and motion on the Flex Window, along with an indigo blue and silver shade. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage edition of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 was priced at Rs. 99,999 when it was first released in India in July. The price of the 8GB RAM + 512GB storage model is Rs. 1,09,999. It made its debut in the colors mint, lavender, graphite, and cream.
With One UI 5.1.1 on top of Android 13, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5 boasts armored aluminum frames and runs Android 13. With a refresh rate of 120 Hz, it features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex inner display. With a refresh rate of 60 Hz, it features a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED folder-shaped cover display. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an 8GB RAM Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for the Galaxy SoC.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 has two cameras on its back: a 12-megapixel ultra-wide main sensor and a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera that supports optical image stabilization. Video calls and selfies are handled by an A10-megapixel camera. It is water-resistant and has an IPX8 grade. Samsung included a 3,700mAh battery with 25W rapid charging capabilities in the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
