The remaining issues will be quickly resolved, and communication and negotiations will continue through military and diplomatic channels, according to a statement from the ministry of external affairs. The two parties agreed to keep the situation calm and peaceful in the border regions in the interim.
Since several decades ago, there has been a border dispute between the two nations. Even a conflict between China and India occurred in 1962.
