According to reports, QOO is working on the iQOO 12, which will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The iQOO 12 will reportedly be on sale in India by the end of November or the beginning of December and will reportedly be the first phone in the nation to do so using Qualcomm’s forthcoming flagship chip.
The iQOO 12 will succeed the iQOO 11, which was the nation’s first smartphone to go on sale using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It appears that iQOO will carry on the tradition of introducing smartphones equipped with the most advanced Qualcomm CPUs in the nation.
The iQOO 12 will have a huge 6.78-inch 2K resolution display with a 144Hz refresh rate, according to the leaks. There is currently no information on whether the phone will have a flat screen or a curved display, like the majority of flagship Android smartphones.
A 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultra wide-angle lens, and a high-resolution 64 MP telephoto lens with support for 3x optical zoom are claimed to be included in the smartphone’s triple camera configuration. The phone is also rumored to have a 16 MP front-facing selfie camera.
The phone’s operating system is probably going to have a customized FuntouchOS 14 skin over Android 14. A 5,000 mAh battery with support for up to 200W rapid charging is touted to power the device. According to reports, the smartphone has an IP68 grade for water and dust protection.
