The Nokia G42 5G in the Nokia G series was introduced by HMD Global last month in India with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Today, the business introduced a brand-new 256GB storage variant with 8GB of RAM (8GB of additional virtual RAM).
The 6.56-inch HD+ display of the Nokia G42 features a 20:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 720 x 1612. It offers a fluid experience with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a maximum brightness of 450 nits, with the possibility to increase to 560 nits. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Inside, there is an octa-core Snapdragon 480+ SoC. The phone comes with two distinct RAM configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage that can be increased to 1TB with a microSD card.
It is a hybrid dual-SIM system and runs Android 13. It has two 2 MP depth cameras and one 2 MP macro camera, both with f/2.4 apertures, in addition to a 50 MP AF primary camera. The phone’s features include an LED flash, Night Mode 2.0, AI Portrait, and OZO 3D audio capture. For selfies, a front-facing 8MP camera is available.
Additionally included are a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and IP52-rated dust and water resistance. The connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and others. A 5000mAh battery that enables 20W rapid charging powers the smartphone.
The new Nokia G42 5G (16GB (8GB virtual RAM) + 256GB) model will be sold at retail stores and on Nokia.com for Rs. 16,999. It comes in So Grey, So Purple, and So Pink color options.
