A New Filter Function for Android Users will Soon be Available on WhatsApp.

For Android users, WhatsApp has recently begun rolling out a new keyboard featuring an emoji bar. The Meta-owned platform is currently developing a new functionality to filter chat list talks.

WhatsApp is creating a new filter button for the app, according to WABetaInfo. Testers of the Android beta version can currently access the feature. You must install the Android beta version 2.23.14.17 in order to use the feature. “WhatsApp intends to replace the tabs that were once present there before being replaced by the bottom navigation bar with three filters at the top of the conversation list. These filters offer options for categorizing chats according to unread messages, intimate exchanges, and professional discussions. Although these filters are tailored to particular chat types, the research notes that the lack of a filter specifically for group chats is conspicuous.

The ability to filter the conversation list is being worked on and will be made accessible in a subsequent app release.
