Wipro, an Indian IT services company, has announced ‘Wipro ai360,’ an AI-first innovation ecosystem aimed at incorporating artificial intelligence into every platform, tool, and solution utilized internally and supplied to clients. The corporation has also announced a $1 billion investment over the next three years to develop AI technologies.
What is Wipro ai360?
Wipro ai360, according to the business, will assist the company in providing value, productivity, and commercial prospects through the use of AI and generative AI. “With the emergence of generative AI, we anticipate a fundamental shift in all industries.” New business models, new methods of working, and new difficulties are all on the horizon. This is precisely why Wipro’s ai360 ecosystem places responsible AI operations at the centre of all our AI efforts,” stated Thierry Delaporte, Wipro’s CEO and Managing Director.
Wipro ai360, according to Delaporte, is intended to empower the company’s talent pool and “be ubiquitous across all operations and processes,” as well as provide client solutions.
Furthermore, Wipro’s innovation hub Lab45 will be an integral element of the Wipro ai360 ecosystem, providing clients with the people, training, scalability, as well as research and co-innovation capabilities required to expedite AI adoption.
Wipro ai360 also seeks to connect 30,000 Wipro data analytics and AI experts with Wipro’s technology and advisory ecosystem across four global business areas.
To develop new solutions and embed AI into all processes and practices, the business plans to use strengths across cloud and partnerships, data, analytics, and AI, design and consulting, cybersecurity, and engineering.
“Wipro’s new global business line model will enable new levels of agility, speed, and depth in delivery,” according to the company.
A $1 billion investment
Wipro has also announced a $1 billion investment in AI capabilities over the next three years. The investments will go toward expanding AI, big data, and analytics products, as well as building new research and development and platform capabilities.
The company will also launch a GenAI Seed Accelerator program, which will provide training to select GenAI-focused startups to help them become enterprise-ready.
Over the following 12 months, the corporation will also teach all 2,50,000 employees on AI foundations and appropriate AI use. It will also give more customized, continuous training for personnel in AI-specialized professions.
This comes only a week after Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced plans to train 25,000 engineers to be certified on Microsoft’s Azure Open AI.
