The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has released a feature-rich app for users to book tickets. The app provides convenient ticket purchase choices in addition to seamless travel planning, access to station information, and proximity-based navigation.
Passengers can buy tickets using this app without having to visit ticket counters, vending machines, or stand in line, all from the convenience of their cellphones. The “View Transaction” tab in the app also offers the opportunity to view the purchased tickets, enabling users to access and manage their tickets as necessary. The DMRC Travel app is currently only accessible via Android smartphones; it is not yet accessible via iOS.
The DMRC Travel app allows users to purchase mobile QR tickets in the following ways:
- In the official app store for your device, search for “DMRC Travel App” and download it.
- Open the app and log in with your Facebook or Gmail credentials, or create an account if necessary.
- Open the app and choose “Book Ticket” from the menu.
- After entering the source and destination stations, click “Book Ticket”. For the selected Source and destination stations, it will display the price, the number of stops, and the travel time.
- Choose the quantity of tickets and continue with the booking.
- Confirm the purchase’s specifics, such as the stations of origin and destination, the quantity of tickets, and the total cost.
- Make a payment using your preferred method, such as UPI, net banking, or a debit/credit card.
The app will produce a mobile QR ticket after the payment is completed. For admission and exit throughout your travel, show this QR ticket at the AFC (Automatic Fare Collection) gate.
