The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced “DMRC Travel,” a special mobile app for its users that allows them to create mobile QR tickets for use while commuting around its network. Dr. Vikas Kumar, managing director of DMRC, officially unveiled the app from the company’s headquarters in Metro Bhawan.
How does it Benefit Users?
The new mobile app will make it possible for users to buy tickets straight from their cellphones, doing away with the need to visit ticket booths, vending machines, or line up. The ticketing process is now quick and easy for the travellers, saving them crucial commute time.
Payment Procedures
The app accepts a number of payment options, including wallets, credit/debit cards, and UPI. The app itself allows users to finish the transaction and select their preferred payment method.
Features
The app also includes features that are focused on the needs of the user, such as a travel planner, fare calculator, station information, and smart card recharging. The software also displays interchange stations along the journey from point A to point B. Travellers can rebook tickets for the same origin-destination and return trip and examine their transaction history.
Availability
Android users can download the DMRC Travel app, but iOS users are not yet able to do so. Users are able to enjoy the benefits of mobile QR ticketing. Passengers are urged to explore the app’s capabilities and advantages by downloading it from their respective app stores.
