The cost of Vodafone Idea’s entry-level prepaid package began to rise last month. The Mumbai entry-level plan’s pricing was raised by the telecom provider. Two more telecom circles have now been added to the list by the telco. In Gujarat and Delhi, Vi has just raised the cost of its entry-level package.
The Updated Vi Entry-Level Plan
Previously, Vodafone Idea offered a Rs 99 entry-level package. The service provider included 200MB of data and 99 rupees worth of voice time in the bundle. The plan has a 28-day validity period.
The cost of the telco’s entry-level package has now climbed to Rs 179. The plan includes 200MB of data and 179 minutes of call time, and it is valid for 28 days. On the other side, the business has shortened the Rs 99 plan’s validity from 28 to 15 days.
In two more service areas (making a total of two service regions), Vodafone Idea this week increased entry-level pricing (for 28 days validity) to Rs179 per month (from Rs 99), according to a recent report by a Goldman Sachs analyst.
The article also says there’s a potential Vi would hold off on raising rates for the other 19 telecom circles as it evaluates the new JioBharat phone’s effects.
Similar price increases were imposed by Bharti Airtel in November 2022, first affecting two circles. All 22 circles are now included in this increase.
