Reliance Jio launched two prepaid cell phone plans with Netflix subscriptions. It is a globally exclusive prepaid package option for Netflix, according to the business. “We pledge to offer our clients top-notch services. Another move we’ve made to show our dedication is the addition of Netflix bundles to our prepaid plan. “We have strengthened our relationships with international partners like Netflix, and together, we are developing use cases that the rest of the world will adopt,” says Jio Platforms CEO Kiran Thomas.
This is the first time that a Netflix membership would be offered on a prepaid plan; however, it is already accessible on some Jio Postpaid and Jio Fiber plans. As a result of this launch, more than 400 million Jio prepaid customers will now have the option to get a Netflix membership through a Jio Prepaid bundled plan.
Two plans with 84 days of validity each are available from the company for Rs. 1,099 and Rs. 1,499 with a Netflix subscription.
A Netflix mobile subscription, unlimited 5G broadband, or 2 GB of 4G data per day are all included in the Rs. 1,099 bundle. Only mobile devices are permitted to use the Netflix Mobile service, which costs Rs. 149 per month.
The more expensive membership, which costs Rs. 1,499, includes the fundamental Netflix feature, which allows customers to stream content simultaneously on their mobile device and television. It will provide 3GB of 4G data per day and include all the same features as the less expensive model. Separately, the Netflix basic package in India costs Rs. 199 per month.
The cost of a 2GB data plan with unlimited voice calls and 84 days of validity for a phone alone is Rs. 719, while the cost of a 3GB data plan starts at Rs. 999.
