Sony has announced that the PS5 Access Controller will be available globally on December 6, 2023. Pre-orders for the smartphone will begin on July 21 in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Portugal. The controller is intended for gamers and includes a number of customizable features such as swappable button caps, adjustable sticks, and a built-in headset connection.
The Access Controller was first revealed under the pseudonym “Project Leonardo” at CES 2023. It was created in partnership with several organizations, including the AbleGamers Charity and SpecialEffect. It gives disabled players a controller that is customized to their needs. This will allow them to play games and have the same experiences as other gamers.
